MAURICE PLEDGER

Hertfordshire born, Maurice Pledger is an internationally acclaimed artist known for his realistic and detailed illustrations of animals and wildlife. Maurice had no art training whatsoever but achieves the detail and realism by spending hours in the field studying the subject’s natural environment.

In 1992 he was the recipient of the Francis Williams Illustration award for the Best Descripted Illustration, this is only given out once every 5 years by the Victoria and Albert Museum.
